SF Tech Week 2026 Events

SF Tech Week 2026 runs October 5 to 11 in San Francisco, and Decile Group, VC Lab and fund managers from our community are hosting seven in-person events for GPs and LPs between Monday, October 5 and Friday, October 9. The headliner is Save the World, a Venture for Good evening with Adeo Ressi on Tuesday, October 6. Every event, time and RSVP link lives on one page: govclab.com/sftw-2026.

SF Tech Week is a decentralized week. Hundreds of hosts run their own panels, demo days and happy hours across the city, so the hard part isn't finding something to do. It's finding the rooms where the right people are. If you're an LP looking at emerging managers, or a GP who'd rather meet allocators than shout over a DJ, this is the short list.

Why VC Lab is showing up at SF Tech Week 2026

VC Lab is the leading venture capital accelerator for new and emerging managers. Over 20 cohorts, it's helped accelerate 950+ VC firms, and Decile Group helps launch roughly 60% of new VC funds globally each year through VC Lab and the Emerging Institute.

That community doesn't only live on Zoom. A lot of our managers are in the Bay Area, a lot of our LPs fly in for SF Tech Week, and a few managers are hosting their own events this year. So instead of sending you seven separate links, we put the whole week on one page and grouped it by day.

The headliner: Save the World with Adeo Ressi, October 6

When: Tuesday, October 6, 2026, 5:30 to 7:30 PM PT
Where: The Embarcadero, San Francisco. The exact address goes out once your RSVP is approved

Most SF Tech Week events are panels, pitch nights and open bars. This one isn't. Venture for Good is an evening for GPs and LPs who believe venture capital can be a force for good, and who'd rather build something together than network in a hallway.

Adeo Ressi leads a live round of Save the World, a game played in teams, and the night is built around the Mensarius Oath, the code of conduct every firm that comes through VC Lab is asked to sign publicly. Venture capital shapes which technologies, founders and ideas get built. The Oath is a personal commitment to use that influence with integrity.

Monday, October 5: MedTech, BioTech and NeuroTech Battle Scars

From 5:00 to 9:00 PM, Varun of Chaanakya Capital hosts founders and operators across life sciences (neuro, bio, medtech and longevity), plus their advisors and the VCs investing in the space. It filled up fast and is running a waitlist, so get on it early.

Wednesday, October 7: three events, one of them LP only

Physical AI Demo Day, 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Hosted by Spatial Capital and Capgemini. Eight startups bring AI into the physical world, from mineral exploration and forest inventory drones to grid intelligence, infrastructure inspection and robotics at height. There are 150 spots, and wine and live demos afterward. It's open to investors, but LPs get priority. If you're an LP, reach out to Max Harris on our team for the priority code before you RSVP, so the host knows to hold your spot.

Neuro, Neuro, from 5:30 PM. Hosted by Varun of Chaanakya Capital, for anyone building in brain and neurotech, looking for co-founders or ecosystem partners like researchers, KOLs and CROs, or looking to fund neuro startups. Heads up: this one may move to Tuesday, October 6, so check the SF Tech Week page for the latest date.

Private Investor Gathering, 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Hosted by Life Science Entrepreneurs with Varun of Chaanakya Capital. This is a small, curated room of LPs, family offices, fund allocators and accredited investors, focused on relationships rather than pitches. Every registration is reviewed, with a $150 verification deposit that's fully refunded once you're verified. It's LP only and you'll need a code to RSVP, so email Max first.

Thursday, October 8: Startuping in Brain, NeuroTech

From 6:00 to 9:00 PM, Varun hosts current founders, aspiring founders and mentors in BrainTech and NeuroTech, with MedTech and BioTech folks welcome too. Swap ideas, recommend partners, or show off what you built.

Friday, October 9: AI and BrainTech Investing

From 6:00 to 9:00 PM, the week closes with an investor-focused evening on how AI is changing treatment for sleep disorders, Alzheimer's, stroke, diabetes and pain, and why BrainTech might be the next wave before it gets big.

How LPs get into the invite-only SF Tech Week events

Two of the rooms this week hold spots specifically for LPs. The Physical AI Demo Day on October 7 is open to investors, but LPs who RSVP with a priority code get held spots. The Private Investor Gathering the same evening is LP only and fully vetted.

Katherine Kirsch of Yellow Cherry Capital (the LP), Jessica Kamada of Swizzle Ventures (the GP) and Elisabeth Tarullo of Nolia Health (the founder) trace the same dollar end to end, moderated by Kelly Schricker of Decile Group. Planning your SF Tech Week 2026 as a GP or an LP

A few things we've seen work for managers and LPs who get the most out of the week:

1. Pick two anchor events, not ten. SF Tech Week runs hundreds of events across seven days. The people who leave with real relationships usually commit to two or three rooms where their counterparts will be, then follow up the next week.
2. Request approvals early. Save the World is capped at 100 guests with approval required, and Monday's life sciences night already has a waitlist. Approval-only rooms fill before public ones.
3. Know which room is which. Some of this week's events are built for founders, some for investors and some for LPs only. The tags on the SF Tech Week page tell you which is which, and the LP only filter pulls up the LP rooms in one click.
4. Bring the follow-up with you. If you're a GP raising, have your deck and data room ready before the week starts. If you're launching a fund, Start Fund and the VC Lab tech stack are how our managers get from first meeting to first close.
